Didn't they do well?

We were very proud of all the children on Thursday. Well done everyone and thanks for all the hard work learning lines at home too!

And here we are making some delicious soup with some of the vegetables. We chopped, peeled, boiled, stirred and ate the soup!

On Wednesday 18th March Year One went to Pibrac Market. The market is set between the Church and Basilique de Ste Germaine. It takes place every Wednesday morning, and although it is only a small market, it is busy and has a variety of stalls.
We saw:

Fresh and dried sausages.

Delicious fruit and vegetables.

Freshly cooked paella!

Fresh honey and honey products such as sweets and candles.

Mini orange and lemon trees.

Bedding plants for the garden. A sign of Spring?

Shopping for our soup and fruit salad!

More sausages!

On the steps of the Basilique

We really had a lovely morning!

We were very happy to have author John Dougherty in class this morning. He sang to us and read extracts from some of his books about Stinkbomb and Ketchup Face. John also talked to us about who the characters in his books were based on. The children joined in some of the songs, listened really well and asked some super questions.

Our favourite books.

Here we are with our favourite books.
We shared our favourite books with the class and wrote about and drew a picture of our favourite part.

Jam making

Here we are making our Kiwi Jam! We hope you enjoyed it at home.
We also learned about how different fruits and vegetables grow.

The kiwis.

We peeled and chopped the Kiwis before adding sugar and cooking them to make jam.

As well as all our dressing up activities, we managed to find time to bake bread to put our jam on tomorrow! Watch this space for some jam making activities tomorrow!
