Today, 1H & 1G made 'Fabulous Owl biscuits'.
This is because, as part of our Light & Dark topic, we have been looking at some common nocturnal animals.

We had great fun making our biscuits!

Use this link if you would like to try them at home....

After we read the Little Red Hen we decided to bake some bread.
"Who will help me bake the bread?" asked Mrs Hall, Mrs Grant and Miss Ryan.
"We will!" said all the children!

First we weighed out the ingredients.

We put in flour, yeast, water, salt and a bit of honey.

We mixed all the ingredients together.

After kneading the dough, we left the dough to rise.

Finished bread

We made jam sandwiches with the bread. They were delicious!

We are reading stories by Colin McNaughton about Preston pig.
The children love hearing about Preston's adventures with the naughty wolf !

Look out for Colin McNaughton stories to share together or ask your child about what happens in the stories.....can they re-tell you what they have heard?
